GCHS Football Announces Schedule

Four region games are on Giles County High School’s 2020 football schedule, which starts Aug. 21. The Bobcats, who came on strong at the end of 2019 to advance deep in the Tennessee Class 3A playoffs, will open the season Aug. 21 at home against non region foe Lincoln County. Region action, against a slate of Nashville area schools, starts against visiting East Nashville Sept. 4, followed by a trip to Stratford Sept. 18. Whites Creek will come to Giles County Oct. 2, and Pearl Cohn will complete regular season region play Oct. 30. A new school, Green Hill, in Wilson County, is on Giles County’s schedule, Marshall County, Page and Tullahoma are nearby schools that will return to the schedule,


Hendersonville, in Sumner County, also is on the Bobcat schedule.

The schedule follows. Games are at 7 p.m., unless otherwise noted.


• Aug. 21: Lincoln County

• Aug. 28: at Hendersonville

• Sept. 4: East Nashville

• Sept. 18: at Stratford

• Sept. 25: at Page

• Oct. 2: Whites Creek

• Oct. 9: Marshall County

• Oct. 16: at Green Hill

• Oct. 23: at Tullahoma

• Oct. 30: Pearl Cohn
